The Vancouver, Richmond towers seem to be doing okay. Never have any issues streaming audio and browsing the web at the same time.

I have data on WIND, Mobi and Bell (and used to have Fido, basically Rogers). I can say that Mobi has consistenly the slowest speedtest results in Greater Vancouver. But I mostly use a Blackberry now or dumb phone on Mobi so it is not a big deal (but still during app updates etc it is slow). I'd never rely on Mobi's data if I have a choice. And also this is one of the reasons most of my friends won't want to sign up w/ Mobi if they need data. WIND is much faster (although not fastest) at least here.

I just checked and it's not too bad.

However, I cancelled my g/f's data addon since she never uses it and got another year prepaid for $138 including tax. I had a balance from last year's $200 port in.

Well, now that you are finally on board, maybe there will be real improvement. Tell the guys in the corner office to speed up the expansion!

    Hnm...

I'm having the opposite effect here.

I can use my connection to watch Netflix on my TV or phone just fine by day, but it's at night where I run into buffering issues.

Currently watching Star Trek V on my TV connected to Mobilicity via my Huawei pocket wifi. (Getting cancelled this weekend for a Shaw promotion).

I was getting steady 2Mbps connection in the past few months until a week or two ago, when my speeds never exceeds 0.5Mbps.

Ping has greatly improved in Vancouver to around 130ms back to Toronto instead of the 200s, but speed has taken a huge hit.

I would call it the xtachx factor, lol. Until recently xtachx had performance that most of us can only dream of having. This is another sub living a charmed life.

However, after about 10 pm, speeds go back up to 2.3 Mbps. It looks like we have had a huge influx of customers for the break your contract day. Now, its borderline unusable again. :-(

Mobilicity OPS, this is in south Edmonton. Please increase the capacity of the towers and add more.
I thought you had some breaking news. Since Mobi introduced the $25 BTS, data in Mississauga was like that in a normal day, sometime, it got MUCH WORSE.

    No idea.

I'm in the Windermere area of Edmonton that still has no coverage. Ever since November, I've been able to get service in my condo via the Nextivity AWS repeater.

I never signed up for Netflix before because of the complaints I've seen here on HoFo about it not working. Because I'm ditching my Mobilicity internet only plan in favour of Shaw this weekend I decided to give the free trial a shot for Netflix. I was shocked to see Netflix worked with both my Mobilicity lines.

Netflix seems to work alright on my TV from the pocket wifi if it's before 10pm. After 10pm I can only watch Netflix directly on my phone which seems to have a slightly faster data speed.
