In my area, Baton Rouge, ATT has bought billboards around town advertising 4GLTE is now available here. My phone is still 3G so I don't have a way to verify that.
Hate to bump an old thread, but snapped these today. Sorry for quality. Closest I could get.
First one is AT&T's cell site they just installed. They were on the other cell site seen below, but I guess they switched to the one right across the street which is this one. Check out the size of those LTE panels!
This is a site across the street. Verizon, tmobile, clear wire, sprint, anyone else I can think of have a spot here.
Cingular FamilyTalk 850, Family Messaging Unlimited, 2GB/mo data

That's a lot of stuff for basically one location. It must include multiple redundant AT&T/Cingular decks or T-Mobile/voicestream as well as Nextel.
I usually support government regulation, but It is unfortunate that the government over-regulated and killed the AT&T/ T-Mobile Merger The best explanation of the pricing nutiness in the industry. Why Sprint and T-Mo will always suck.
The only way to end the pricing insanity is to eliminate contracts and subsidies.
I want Wifi calling on AT&T. If you text while driving, you're an idiot. End of story.
O wow that's pretty cool. As I said I already got my iPhone unlocked and planning to switch to tmobile. I'm just hoping they will have 3G in Chicago or at least in the suburbs of Chicago cuz that's where I'm located at
Hey, I am 99.9% certain this is AT&T's tower. Given that no other carrier gets such strong signal at my house and AT&T does and this tower is about a block and a half away. It's a monopole setup but, half of it is exposed. I took a pic to see if you guys could tell me what they might be doing to it by the looks of panels on it.

What city? If u r standing next to it and your maxed out on the db reading then yes I'd say that is ATT. Also i can see the TMAs mounted below the antennas which is typically used for HSPA so that in itself is a good indicator.

They might be adding LTE for all we know.

It's been exposed like that for almost a week now. The coverings are inside the fence where the pole sits. LTE has not been turned on in Seattle yet so I am kind of thinking maybe LTE upgrades?

Most likely LTE install yes. Keep a lookout for remote radio heads.

Well, they were working on the tower today. That tower has been exposed for the longest time now and today I noticed they added a second set of long panels beneath the top ones you see in the picture.
