Damnit. I was afraid of that.

The port failed due to me having an active prepaid account I assume. Verizon must blacklist any phone that ever gets tied to a prepaid or monthly plan now. I tried for three hours to get in touch with customer service to no avail. I had to replenish my Verizon account today so I might as well use it for the full month. I may try something different when August rolls around.

There has been a LOT of conflicting information posted on HoFo and probably elsewhere on the Vzw prepaid / PPC issue. The fact that phones that were originally sold as Vzw prepaid can't be activated on PPC is mostly undisputed. But there have been plenty of reports of phones that were originally Vzw postpaid phones being used on Vzw prepaid at some later time, then being successfully activated on PPC. There have also been reports of phones that were originally Vzw postpaid phones being used on Vzw prepaid at some later time that could NOT be activated on PPC.

However, Vzw prepaid phone numbers CAN be ported to PPC, as long as the correct Vzw account info is provided.

Three hours? Seriously? Like you were on hold for 3 hours? Or you tried every 30 minutes over a 3 hour span? PP CS is simply not that bad anymore. It is remarkably improved. I'm not buying the "3 hour" part at all. The more SPECIFIC you can be about things, the more help you will get here.
I recently tested the "don't mention a PP Dealer by name" rule here on PP Hofo......trust me, it is still in effect - got me a 7 day ban.

I'd stay on the line until the music stopped playing. Called back a half dozen or more times in that span.

Live online chat is currently closed, so I'd guess PPC CS is closed today. It is possible that they also closed early yesterday, but since PPC doesn't bother to post their holiday hours, there is no way to know for sure.
