    Does airave use plan minutes?

I just got an extra charge of $50 on my bill due to overages.
I have 450 plan minutes for calling land lines and unlimited mobile to mobile.
However, I was just told that minutes used while connected on the airave are minutes from my plan, mobile or land line.
What? They give me something to help the service work, because before I got no signal at all. Now it is working and I get a whopper overage...

The airave continues to use your plan minutes, I also have one. I think their is a plan where you pay 7 per month (not sure) to have unlimited usage while on the airave.

You can probably call them and have them give you a curtesy credit since you didn't know about it or was probably misinformed.

To use the Airave for Unlimited minutes I saw on my bill that Sprint charges me a $25/mo to use and I have 3 Airaves on my acct in 3 different places and I can use unlimited minutes thru the Airave no matter what Airave I am on my acct.
So for for my billing cycle for June I have around 700 minutes using the Airave unit.

    Hope that helps.

Like was already said, unless your paying for an "unlimited airave" plan, it uses minutes. If you can, your better off getting Skype or a similar VOIP service for <$10/month when you have internet and/or only using your phone after 7pm/9pm if you have unlimited night minutes. (There' also ways to use Google Voice to place calls over VOIP so if you have the Sprint+Google-Voice-Integration your number still shows up on the recieving phone)

    EDIT:
if you have unlimited Data and 3G or 4G you can use VOIP on the phone itself (if it's a smartphone) I've saved tons of daytime minutes this way

So if you had 5 bars of signal everywhere and didn't need the airave, would you think you had unlimited minutes if you picked the Everything Data 450 plan?

I think I would have unlimited mobile to mobile like the plan says, and 450 minutes to call landlines or 1-800 numbers.
Are you the guy I talked to on the Customer service the other day who was telling me I went over my unlimited minutes so I was being charged the overages? I'm still trying to find out the limit of unlimited minutes...
