Moved to Share Everything plan - pretty happy so far

Previously on a 700 minute plan, 2 smartphones, 2 $30 2 GB data plans, and the $30 add on for unlimited texting. With our corporate discount, bill each month was about $154 or so.

Moved to the Share Everything plan. Unlimited minutes and text, and opted for the 4 GB shared plan for the two of us. Add on the corporate discount again, and our bill will be about $147 a month or so.

So we get the same data, unlimited texting, and unlimited minutes for less? I would be crazy to not sign up for this. Only a few times have we ever come close to exceeding the 700 minutes, but that is because I would arrange my calls to be made after hours or on the weekends. Never used the daytime minutes. Well, now I can.

There are a lot of complaints that I have seen online about this, mostly from customers with unlimited data already on their plan. I can see why they are upset. Those of us who never had unlimited data aren't losing much.

Good for you, but please do check your corporate discount to make sure that your data discount is the same as your access discount. For example my corporate discount for access if 22% while for data it is 20%. Most people are not aware of there being a difference in the discounts offered.

Yeah, make sure you account for that $1.40.

    Wirelessly posted (Fluid's: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows Phone OS 7.5; Trident/5.0; IEMobile/9.0; HTC; mwp6985))

Before I selected the plan, it gave me the total for my current plan and plan I was going to pick pre-taxes. I was able to apply my discount to see what the total was before I changed plans. That's where I saw the $7 difference. I believe that my corporate discount was the same across the board but I would have to double check on that.

You clearly missed the point since you were so caught up on my numbers. Some people have already posted that their access discount was 20% while their data discount was as low as 5%. For some people this discount means a lot.

The old access discount will apply to the data bucket in the new SE plans. Problem solved.

Is there anyway to add a corporate discount without working for that corporation?

1400 Minutes shared between my phone and my daughter's. Unlimited txt and data. Corp discount and $20 txt and data discount on both lines. Rounding up with insurance $149.00/month.. Guess I'll keep my plan.. Yes, barely use 130 voice min/month and not even logging in any friends and family numbers.. Combined data usage between 2 phones approx 11 gigs/month. Oh BTW that includes unlimited hotspot on one of the line (I could tether free with FoxFi but I believe in playing by the rules). I think I'll keep my grandfathered plan.. I'm prepared to pay full price (unsubsidized) for my next phone..

Before the shared plans started I called retentions to get a new "mePhone" aka iPhone for my daughter and they said I could save money by moving down to a shared 700 minutes plan. I pointed it out that it'd cost me more because I'd lose my $20 txt and data discount on both line and pay out the nose for data therefore costing me more $$. She stated "oh your on top of this". I only called this specific person in retentions because she treated me right last time I purchased (2 1/2 years ago) Don't know if she was trying to get me off grandfathered unlimited data but everyone needs to analyze (cost benefit analysis) their own needs and move to the plan that makes sense to them...

I agree. If we had unlimited data we wouldn't have switched. I was just happy to get a little more than what we had, for a little less than what we were paying.
