Noticed a price drop on the Galaxy Nexus and Nokia Lumia 710

The Galaxy Nexus is now selling for $499 (down from $599 outright) and the Nokia Lumia 710 for $199 (down from $259 outright). I guess that was to be expected with the release of the Galaxy S3.

For the record, it's $349 directly from Google. The Galaxy 7 is going to be available to Canada, so it's possible the other devices will be offered to us too.

If I bought a Lumia on the tab within the past 30 days can I get my tab balances adjusted to reflect this price change?

That is not going to happen. Google started selling it in the States because it wasn't available through any GSM carriers and Google did not have any agreement in place with the carriers.

Google has an agreement with most Canadian carriers regarding selling the GN, and therefore, will never sell it directly to Canadians.

But I agree with you that them starting to sell the N7 in Canada is a good sign and I am certain that the next Nexus will be sold directly to Canadians.

Being able to buy unlocked pentaband superphones at relatively cheap prices is a huge break-though for the consumers and Google is not getting enough credit for it.

Hopefully some people can understand that when the provider say they are taking a loss or not making money selling the phones that they are full of BS.

I know the true cost of most electronics and they are all making lots of money on this as I cannot see these high end phones costing more than $150 for the best hardware possible to Google and a 50% markup to the providers. Heck, you can buy most clones cheap iphone for less than $50 wholesale for 10 or less units so just imagine if you were ordering 1 million units how cheap the price will come down.

Samsung distributes the Galaxy Nexus to carriers, not Google. I'm not saying it will be available for sale through Play tomorrow, but it is definitely coming. I imagine we'll be able to buy phones from Google before we can buy music.

I wouldn't mind that at all! I don't buy music digitally anyways.

Really ? I heard about the expansys sale but when I check there Canada website, the price is now $428.80, with tax for Ontario its $496.84 (when you put in the cart) . Its cheaper from what Wind is offering, but I hate missing a sale like that

I would love it to be $399 again, it just feels weird that knowing that its $350 in the Play store while I have to buy it $100-$200 more in Canada. Oh well.

Does anybody know where I can find a $399 price like that, apart from the Play Store or Kijiji ?

Lumia 710 for $200 is the big news I think
Sent from my Lumia 710 via the HowardForums WP7 App
The word 'Pentaband' means '5 Bands', from the Greek word 'pente' meaning '5'. For a phone to be pentaband it has to support 5 bands. If the phone has AWS support, it doesn't automatically mean that it is pentaband. The reason Wind and Mobilicity users like pentaband phones is because the reverse is true. We're not the only ones who like pentaband phones though, so please stop referring to phones that work on Wind and Mobilicity as pentaband. It causes unnecessary cofusion.

I think the return policy is within the last 14 days, so if you're in there, you should be golden. If it's more than 30 days, you can always try but I would suspect it wouldn't work.

I am pretty sure that they do price adjustments within 10 days after initial purchase. If you are over 10 days, then no soup for you.

If you are under 14 days, and under 30 minutes of use on your phone, you can return it, and then re-purchase it.
