Wednesday night I upgraded to 5.1.1 and after much issue restoring and getting *some* of my data back, I finally got the phone working properly Thursday morning. During the day Thursday my battery life dropped like a rock. Thursday evening I was at the grocery store using Grocery Gadget, which keeps the display on, and my battery was literally dropping 1% EVERY MINUTE! It went from 20% to under 10% in a matter of minutes. I could also feel the phone getting pretty warm, just walking around in the store with the phone in my hand. Normally a grocery trip with the phone display on the whole time might drain the battery 4 or 5% at the most, but definitely not more than 10.

Got home with maybe 7% left, plugged it in and left it plugged in overnight. Now today it seems MUCH better. Right now at 4 PM I'm looking at 2.5 hrs usage, 8.5 hrs standby, and it still says I have 81% battery left.

I read the reports of 5.1.1 battery issues and the fix of resetting all settings and letting it drain down to nothing, charging back up, and leaving it plugged in a bit longer. But I didn't do any of that besides plugging it in, and the phone battery life seems much better now. Think it's okay now?
