Terrible.
As soon as I need to change my plan, I'm cancelling. At least my cancellation fee will be low since I didn't take a phone when I re-signed in Feb.

We're doing this for your own protection so you won't be confused and have to think. Sounds like typical newspeak to me (Orwell 1984). What crap! They're doing it to extract more $$ out of the sheeple, plain and simple.
Terrible.

I'd love to see Fritz try to put a positive spin on this, lol.
I think fritz would tow the company line and explain it is a business decision to bring Fido's offerings in line with competitors (ignoring that it doesn't). Which is fine. Some staff buy into the company line, some don't. If I was an employee I might question the wisdom of the change. Will it significantly improve revenue? Will it further alienate customers? Will it make Fido even less attractive? Will it result in fewer customers but more revenue per? Does a higher APRU with fewer customers necessitate or facilitate further layoffs? Is this decision actually good for the company and it's employees, regardless of what the suits say?
Sometimes, when shoveling big piles for the company, one should stop and look to see if you're digging your own grave.

Fritz won't add any opinion on here....
That would be a little out of character. Is he still working for Fido?
Yes, he is.
If those who support the company are brainwashed then those who hate are what unstable? I mean come on you are hating a company like it came and kicked your dog, forked your wife and drank your last beer. One would think with that much hate and dislike for a company you would leave but yet you stay a customer, that must mean you need some help with your mental issues or maybe you are brainwashed like we are.
We remain at our jobs because they pay well, the hours are steady and as much as the idea makes you want to vomit we do enjoy the work. But you are still a customer why? You can leave at any time but you still remain spewing your hate.
Sad and disappointing news.
The mobi/wind plans are looking more and more attractive.
I guess it'll depend on how Fido will be updating their plans.
I've had my issues with Fido, and their policies and changes post Rogers have changed it for the worse. That said, day to day I provide them a large amount of cash, and in return I receive decent quality of service. It is the lesser evil of the big 3.
To blatantly ignore the nickel and dimming this company has done over the years and to almost brag about the crappy little bones they throw our way once in a while because he thinks RCI is some god-like corporation is why I say he's brainwashed. While I believe that a good employee can stand behind the company he works for, I believe it makes an even better person who can see past the corporate BS and brainwashing and be honest with the current state of their services.
Again, I don't hate Fido. It's had its ups and downs, and has overall changed for the worse. If you believe that makes me unstable, then I'm glad you aren't a psychiatrist. Sorry if I seem to go against the grain on this one, but I believe there are a few others who share my view on Fritz.
No one is slamming you for loving your job. In fact it is admirable that you were able to attain so much personal satisfaction in a job like yours. But there a big difference between liking your job and conceding your own ability to think for yourself. It's understandable that you may not see that.
As for people complaining about their carriers, well, everyone has and is entitled to an opinion. They are even entitled not to like everything about a business they deal with.

I've been with Fido for ten years after leaving Telus and they were great. Until robers bought them out and my $17.50 killer plan went up and up till it reached over $43.00 dollars.I'm so torn over whether or not to leave, when I call retention to get a good plan they don't seam to care if I stay, they won't match competitors plans either. It seems robers plan is to nickel and dime their customers untill they all leave.
What do Rogers and Fido iPhone plans use, per second or per minute billing ?
