    Galaxy Nexus gone for good?

The Galaxy Nexus is gone from the Telus website and I've heard a few conflicting answers about whether it will be back or not. The guy I spoke to on the phone from Telus didn't know one way or another if it was gone for good or what the plan with it was. Several people in Telus stores said it was simply backordered. A few other Telus stores told me it was discontinued and never to return.

Has anyone heard anything a little more concrete?

It was behind the curve to begin with. SGSIIX killed it in specs, and was released 3 months before!

Lol, killed it? Okay. Well I'm sure liking Jelly Bean a lot. Its smokes Ice Cream Sandwich performance wise and adds some great features too. Don't be surprised if the SGSIIX doesn't even get Jelly Bean

Lol, don't compare the dev community for the OG nexus with one that has very minuscule dev support.

That seems silly. They still sell the nexus s don't they? The phone is the platform for jelly bean. It was going to be my next phone.

    Bizarre.

No, the injunction only applies to the US, the phone was discontinued by telus a while back, right around the same time as when Google started selling it directly on the Play Store to the US.

There was some speculation that Google might start selling it up here the same way, but that has yet to materialize.

Best bet to find one if your dealer is out would be a retailer.

The London Drugs in downtown Victoria has 2 Telus Galaxy Nexus in stock, and it is one of the few places in town I have seen one recently.

They may have discontinued the phone but they (Telus) must still have some. The Galaxy Nexus is one of the phones currently being offered to me for my contract renewal on my account's "My Offers" page.

Of course, I can't get over the fact that they are charging $649 for a phone that you can buy direct from Google for $349. It's outrageous!
