Can I get micro sim for prepaid ?

Hello I am visiting US for a few days next week and I plan to test out the T Mobile prepaid service and I still have a couple of questions

    1. Can I get a micro sim for my HTC One S or iPhone 4? I realize they do have micro sims but the prepaid sim shows as a regular sim.

    2. If I get the $2/ day or $3/ day plan , is ther a minimum refill amount ?

    3. Lastly is tethering available? I couldnt find a definitive answer on this issue. If applicable, What do I need to do to tether ?

    Thank you

$10 is the minimum refill with T~Mobile.

I don't know the answers to your other questions.

Ask a T-Mobile corporate store for a micro-SIM. They'll either give you one or some stores have cutters and they'll just cut down your mini-SIM. If they "give" you one they'll activate it for you.

So they may not sell me one? I am not understanding you here.

I asked this question a few years ago at my local T-Mobile store. If I bought $50 in airtime they would give me a SIM card. If I didn't want airtime they wanted $10 for an activation kit. (Kit comes with $3.34 in airtime.)

$10 is indeed the minimum refill amount.

As for tethering, I have been able to use my phone as a hotspot to other devices. As far as I know, as long as your phone supports it, it should not be a problem.

If you already have a SIM they will either give you a micro-SIM or cut down the mini-SIM you already have. If you don't have a SIM they will give you one most of the time. If you've never had service before they'll charge you to activate if you're activating billed service. If you're activating prepaid they'll charge you $10 for a starter kit which is a SIM and activation code. Starter packs come with mini-SIM but they will probably give you a micro-SIM if that's what you need.
