Nice catch Dave. I too am disappointed about the lack of south Surrey officialness and the orphaned Langley areas.

Take a look at http://mobilicity.ca/coverage-map/
White Rock is now officially in the coverage area only a year or two after towers were installed!
I'm kind of disappointed that Mobi doesn't seem to be doing more in the South Surrey area though. Even inside the southern edges of the current Mobi coverage zone you find fairly lousy coverage as can be seen on coverage mapper, though Highway 10 sees a lot of traffic.
Some of the updates seem a bit sloppy, particularly around Edmonton. e.g. if they cover Highway 2 to down to Leduc it would seem likely that their towers would cover a lot more area than basically just the road as is currently indicated (and with Highway 99 in the Vancouver area I'd imagine that their coverage is like to extend somewhat more south). Also, do the denser areas around Sherwood Park that Mobilicity is likely to cover really extend that far east?
Nice catch Dave. I too am disappointed about the lack of south Surrey officialness and the orphaned Langley areas.

huh. I thought they would have extended their Toronto coverage to Niagara Falls at least. That seems to be the common ground for carriers. Well, perhaps in the next round of expansion.
To be honest, I'm underwhelmed. I certainly wouldn't call this "massive" expansion. With the possible exception of a small chunk in Edmonton, I don't see any of their markets where their coverage matches Wind. In a lot of areas the expansion seems oddly haphazard, and I don't see any expansion at all in Calgary. They've had a year to work on this, and this is the best they can do?
I would think next round as well. If they show too large of an area for future expansion, it would take forever to complete and then we would start to complain about that. To me future expansion means within a one year timeframe. Let's see if it is anywhere near that.huh. I thought they would have extended their Toronto coverage to Niagara Falls at least. That seems to be the common ground for carriers. Well, perhaps in the next round of expansion.

Pretty pathetic expansion plans for Vancouver. Nevertheless, better than nothing.
It would probably take 5 towers or less to cover the expanded zones in Vancouver.
Didn't it take Wind a while to extend out from Hamilton to Niagara Falls? I don't think that they got there right away.
I'm just hoping that some unofficial South Surrey expansion happens either as part of strengthening the existing zones or just adding in a new tower or two there anyways. e.g. Wind has a tower just south of Cloverdale which seems to actually supply signal basically up to 32nd ave, even though it's still not officially in the coverage area.
In Calgary, adding a tower in the Tuscany or Springbank areas would seem to in practice be expansion, even if that area is currently officially in the coverage zone.
Coverage in south surrey is indeed very spotty as it is not in their official coverage map. I tried using my phone while on 176 St southbound towards the border. No dropped calls, but I never get full bars.
What surprises me is that Pitt Meadows will be covered, but not Maple Ridge right next to it. There are way more people residing in Maple Ridge than Pitt Meadows.
I'd imagine that the idea is to cover Maple Ridge eventually, but that few people there would sign up without Pitt Meadows being covered first so that they'd have coverage when leaving their community. To get equivalent coverage to Wind in Pitt Meadows would seem to require building only 2-4 towers in that vinicity it would appear judging from Loxcell's tower list.
