As a side note, Autopay is the one thing everyone here has been avoiding for years, because frankly it sucks. Virgin Mobile has been known to take too much money and run, often.
"iPhone 5 rumors send smartphone owners scrambling to sell phones."
Don't worry; when the iPhone 5 comes out the 4S and older will be broken... nobody really wants that 3.5" screen after all.
The 4S is on Virgin because the 5 will be the next big seller. Both consumers and providers are junking the 4S on us (well, you). At exceptionally high prices.
And as to the screen size, 3.5" is horrible. Apple has finally acknowledged it, their lack of keeping up on the times, by making a phone that steals Samsung's design -- thinner, bigger. My hands are tiny but guess what, I can type (thanks to a 3rd-party keyboard or two, something iPhones may never see)...
And if 3.5" is your goal, lower-specced phones are always cheaper... well, non-Apple ones anyway.
Your right, Auto Pay is awesome. Still can't believe Sprint is providing such a great perk like a $60 Service Discount for VM iPhone owners.
Look at the bright side, lot's a people did not foresee an iPhone 4 and Doubted the iPhone 4S would ever land at Virgin Mobile USA, let alone prepaid. The iPhone 5 will arrive, it's just a matter of time.
No, you only pay $649 for the iPhone 4S. You can still enjoy a Contract-Free Virgin Mobile iPhone 4 for only $549.![]()
CON-Tracts??? We don't need no stinking contracts!
It's possible they could jack up the price, since its introduction in 2007 the iPhone has gone up in price from $499 (4GB Original iPhone) to $649 (16GB 4S). There aren't many other phones in that price range though, so Apple might be giving competitors an edge if they raise their prices.
The iPhone is no longer exclusive to any carrier in the US, so there's really no reason for Apple not to sell an unlocked version of the iPhone 5. T-Mobile has also officially stated they're making their network compatible with the iPhone 5, for people who want to buy it unlocked, directly from Apple. I seriously doubt they would've said anything of that nature if they thought Apple was going to start locking them back to AT&T.
You are a master of verbal irony?
I could see a $700 pricetag to make the iPhone 4S look like a bargain. Plus they'll be using more expensive hardware now... and they just love passing on exorbitant fees to end-users based on that (by about 3 times their original value). Keep in mind Apple's profit comes from "innovating" once and keeping prices consistently high even after their products stagnate...
Is it that you can't afford one or do you truly just prefer Android? What's your motive for the continuous iPhone bashing?
In any case, if you follow the financials of Apple or maybe missed that Sprint activated over 1 million iPhones in Q2/2012 alone (and let's not forget numbers from Verizon and AT&T) it cast some serious doubt about your stagnation statement.
Just cause users buy the stuff, doesnt means its not stagnant in design...
hey,,
like u said u dont use phone much ,,then i don think u should buy such an expensive phone.
