What's the easiest way to port a number from Verizon to Boost? What information do I need to have in front of me when I start? Can it be done online (I find CSR hard to understand/communicate with on the phone sometimes)?
I was on a family plan and got my relative to get me a copy of the front page of his last bill, because we thought there might be information on there I might need to have.
Slightly complicating things is that obviously my name is different from his, and I live in a different state. If necessary to keep the number, I suppose I could list myself as living at his address (He said he doesn't mind), and then "move" later to my actual address, but if I can just list my real address from the get-go, I'd rather do that.
Some of his lines are out of contract, but I don't think my line. One would think that they'd assign my contract to his other line and not charge an EFT, but sometimes these companies are greedy. He gave me access to his account online- if there is something I can switch things around on there to make sure it happens that way- i.e. my lines contract to another line, so no EFT, and a smaller monthly bill for him (minus the line that's leaving)- that's what I want to do. Anyone know if there is a way to make sure that happens?
