I don't think this has been mentioned here before, but just FYI incase you didn't know. US Cellular will be throttling users who pass 200MB of data while roaming, seems like this may be instead of terminating contracts. This was supposed to start in June.
Apparently I'm not allowed to post the link since I'm a new user, but its located on their website under "Support" and than "Data Management".
Glad to hear it. I'm a student stuck on my parents' plan for financial reasons, and I came very close to being booted off US Cellular before this policy took effect because my law school is in a non-USCC area and I was using too much data. When I head back to school this fall, hopefully all I will have to worry about is slow data, not getting booted.
Yeah I'm much rather be throttled instead of being threatened with termination. I've enjoyed my time with U.S. Cellular so far, but I do a lot of roaming since I live in a tristate area where only one state has native coverage. They have by far the best (really only) coverage at my house. Guess no more streaming on road trips. Oh well!
