The real problem is that you keep responding with incorrect information. A dumbphone line will be forced to give up unlimited data if they use a phone subsidy, just like a smartphone.

You can keep going around in circles and repeating yourself; but, that doesn't change the fact.

FYI you don't commit to a data plan, once you receive the phone you call to remove the data plan from the line you upgraded.

Actually the real problem is that you keep assuming I have unlimited data on my dumphones.

I know you don't. I said that's what Verizon could have done to keep people from selling off their subsidized phones (since so many people claim that's part of why all the anti-consumer policies have begun lately).

I said several times that a dumbphone line would lose unlimited data if you get a subsidized phone. If you don't have unlimited data, then obviously that isn't an issue for you.

I have no idea why you didn't leave it at that from the beginning since I was still right.

You kept telling me I'd lose unlimited data on my dumphones...which I did not have. You = wrong.

I don't see that selling off subsidized phones as being any significant problem to Verizon.

The customer who purchased the subsidized phone is still committed (locked in) to a 2 year contract.

The person who ends up with the new phone, ends up also needing a plan with Verizon. If its a smartphone, that means paying for data too.

Ugh, you win. Even though everything I said was right, I'm still wrong. You win...Congratulations...

Yep, I agree. It really doesn't matter as *if* Verizon really had a problem with this, they could have easily fixed it by changing the policy.

FYI, today I just upgraded 2 of my lines with S3s and kept my unlimited data on both using the method I mentioned before.
