Here is my problem...I recently bought an original car install kit which came with an extra Startac.
As it happened, I needed a new battery and antenna for my current existing, working Startac.

I put the newly acquired battery in and realized it was dead on arrival.
I then took it out put my original back in to charge..
•The problem now is that when I put the phone on the charger it shows:
"Externally Powered" It of course should be showing "Charging".

I thought about doing a reset on the phone, but I'm afraid It might screw up my firmware (7654) and
wipe out my connection with my cell company.

Wondering if anyone has any thoughts or insights on this problem.
