    Here's what I've noticed.
Both my LG charger (that came with my LG Clout VX8370) and the Samsung charger that came with the GS III is rated for the same output of 5 Volt 1 Amp.
When I use my LG charger to charge the GSIII, it takes about 5.5-6 hours, but If I use the Samsung charger, it is done in 4 hours.
Also, after I've charged the GSIII from the LG charger, the GSIII is only getting about 18-20 hours of battery life with mixed usage. But if I charge the GSIII with the Samsung charger, I'm getting 35-37 hours of mixed usage.

So there must be some difference between the LG and Samsung charger, that is causing it to charge the battery faster and having it last longer.

=> Read my reviews for the Samsung Droid Charge, HTC ThunderBolt, and Casio G'zOne Commando.

    => VX8000 at Disney World:Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4.

Hi. I have a newbie question and thought I would post to this thread instead of making a new thread.
I just bought my Samsung Galaxy 3 and I love so far. I just can't figure out the whole music set-up. I have used an iphone for the past 3 years and I got so used to that. I have a mac , too. What is the default way to get music on your phone, get your itunes music on the phone, and what is the music player I should be using?
If the community of proud Samsung G3 owners could send me a quick reply to help me understand this new set-up or send me to another thread that would be great.
    Thank you.

Technically the possible ways to do this are almost endless. Primarily though you just need the files on the device and you should be good to go for the most part.

Samsung's recommended methods are here. Doubletwist is the most similar to your iTunes experience, but you may like the Samsung unique Kies WiFi approach also.

If you have a big mSD card to hold your music you can even take it out put it in an SD adapter and drop that in a computer and copy the music over, then drop it back in the phone.

Many things are going to end up like this on Android compared to iPhone in that the one or two ways you might accomplish something on iPhone turn into double or triple that on Android. Android is more PC like and less peripheral devices/appliance like essentially.

So I recently got an S3 as well.
My only complaint is the lack of Google Wallet.
I see that I can root my phone and install a hacked .apk file but I'm not into rooting mainly because it's a pain in the butt to keep up on new released software breaking roots and rolling back etc etc.

is there another way to get Google Wallet on this device?
    thanks!

Have you updated to the G7 firmware, or still on F2 or G1?
Rooting the phone is simple with it connected to the PC and running a root program that takes 5 minutes to automatically root the phone.
After that install VooDoo OTA Root Keeper from the play store and that will backup the root. If you happen to lose root later on, you can restore it from VooDoo.

Does anyone have either A) a battery case for their GS3? or an extended Battery? how is the performance? I used mine today to travel to a ball game and it lasted just under 6 hours which was kind of crappy. Looking for recommendation for a battery case like the PowerSkin / Mophie or for an extended battery.

Is the native tethering app enabled for new accounts on tiered data plans?
