Question Some question about my phone Sharp 007SH

    Hello o7

I created a new post because I have a problem with my phone and it's impossible to resolve it.
I searched on many forum and asked for help but no one know how to do. And when I say I have a Sharp, everyone looks at me like oO >.<

As you know, I have internet and I can send MMS but no receive them.

    My APN is :
    Name : BT
    APN : mmsbouygtel.com
    MMSC : http: //mms.bouyguestelecom.fr/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy : 62.201.129.226 (tested too with 62.201.137.017)
    MMS port : 8080
    IP Version : IPV4
    Type : Nothing or Pap
APN Type : Nothing or Default, mms or MMS+internet
    MCC : 001
    MNC : 01
I can't change the MNC and the MCC to 20 and 208 instead of 01 and 001... My operator said me that is really important. So I don't know...

I use Go Sms Pro and it works really well to send and receive SMS and send MMS. When I receive an MMS the Softbank app informed me without ringstone because I desactivated it as explained somewhere here. If I open it : Failed to receive !

I use two hypersim. One from IpMart* and one from DealXtrem (?).

Why I can't change MNC and MCC ? What is the problem with MMS receiving ? Is it possible that hypersim are the cause ?

And last question : How I can make a screenshot on the phone ? -__-

*hypersim from IPMart don't have 3G but better signal
    Aye Sir ^_^ o/

as for what i know supposedly root was found for this device but that is something i have to see yet, you can't take screenshots on the phone if you are not rooted, screenshot uses the debug mode on Android and on the SDK the DDMS.BAT tool that captures screenshots on the device. as for your MMS thing this is probably mainly because Japan doesn't use MMS but e-mail or carrier specific mail, they do not use MMS per se. You could also try on your dialer *#*#4636#*#* and see if a menu open where you can change your MNC and MCC manually

sorry for your problem now if you get tired of the phone and you are willing to donate it toward japanese app porting i will gladly accept it

Oh, I didn't know for root and screenshot >.< Not really important at all, just more simple to show some problems.
I follow the discussion, about root and simlock. Looks like really complicated haha

Some guys have MMS on keitai and when I bought the phone, everyone told me that works fine T__T So I thought it was a bad config.

You could also try on your dialer *#*#4636#*#* and see if a menu open where you can change your MNC and MCC manually
I seen that on other topics. I have some errors listed but no screenshot xD
Just on GSM only disconnect = fail at 1:59am
Nothing about MNC or MCC are listed or maybe I must search elsewhere ?

if you can't find it on that menu then nowhere , if you tried under settings and there is nothing then im sorry but there is nothing you can do for now, Usually Docomo's are way better when it comes to unlock as a matter of fact Docomo started unlocking keitais some time ago so waht people gets the most are Docomo keitai smartphones. if you have debug mode on your phone and you can enable it then connect the phone to your pc with debug mode enable then let the computer install the drivers for your phone (usually android adb), if you have the android SDK then go to the android SDK folder on your C drive->tools folder and find ddms.bat (if you don't have android SDK then you need to download it) , click ddms.bat and a window will open called dalvil device manager ->click on the device menu->take screenshot.

thats the only way i know with android for you take a screenshot without been rooted. good luck

To take a screenshot of your Sharp Android you simply need to press simultaneously the POWER and HOME buttons. A "snap" sound will be played and on your screen the message "Screenshot XXXXX has been saved to microSD" will appear. Your screenshot will be saved in the "screen shot" directory on your microSD card (the directory will be created if it does not exist).

But it works fine on my iPhone and Sony Xperia xDDD

Bigger problem: my MMS. In France it's free and illimited so it's more usefull than email. Many people doesn't have an email address on phone >.<

NeuroticallyYou : arf too complicated :x But I keep this on my notepad ^^

aya, the reason you are seeing the MCC/MNC as 01/001, is because of the hypersim

Basically, the MCC/MNC numbers are the identifier of your country/operator:
    http://mcclist.com/mobile-network-co...ntry-codes.asp
This info is stored on the SIM, and it tells the phone what operator your SIM is. The SIM also contains your unique account number, which lets the cell towers know who you are

When a phone is SIM locked, it means that it will only accept SIM cards with a specific MCC/MNC combination - in your case 440/20 which is Japan/Softbank.
HOWEVER, 99% of phones also allow another MCC/MNC combination - 01/001. This is the 'test card' combination which is used in testing of the phone (probably for FCC testing etc). But since no phone operator matches that, the phone is essentially SIM locked.

HyperSims work by tricking the phone into thinking your SIM card's MCC/MNC is actually 01/001, therefore allowing it to be used. Your country's phone towers only need the unique SIM serial to register you on the network, and they seem to ignore (or allow) the 01/001 combination.
But when you get signal, the phone compares the cell tower's MCC/MNC combination (208/20), with your phone's (001/01), so it assumes you are roaming (hence the R symbol)

So thats why you see 01/001 for the MCC and MNC numbers, and why it cannot be changed. My theory about the CPR problem is that your operator rejects this MCC/MNC combination after regaining signal. Could be wrong though.

As for your MMS issue, i dont think this MCC/MNC difference is to blame. If you have internet, then you should be able to download the MMS message. What happens for MMS is that you receive an SMS that is in a special format, telling your phone that you need to connect to the MMS server and download the data portion. Thats why you get a notification in the softbank app (it receives that SMS first).

Do you get any notification in the GO SMS App?

Btw, power and home (i.e. hangup button and home (underneath the zero on the keypad)) works fine for me on 007SH. Are you pressing them at the same time?

tokyo_dom : Ooow really thank you for your explanation. So MCC and MNC are not really important at all. Good news ^^

Do you get any notification in the GO SMS App?
I have no notification in Go Sms only some week later, I receive sms from my operator to say me "You received an MMS from 0634...... Go on bouygtel.com to see it." >.<
    Useless so late hahaha

And Softbank app notify me :

And yeah screenshot works fine \o/ I pressed the wrong button (the big button in middle + the power button).

Do you think the problem with MMS can be resolved with good config on Go Sms ?

Yes, i do think that. Did you tick the option "Stock SMS is uninstalled" under "Important Tips"?

Under receive settings, also tick "Disable other message notification" and "Push Message"

Softbank app will fail, of course it is trying to access the Softbank servers to download the MMS.
