Can they port my number from the $80 plan I have now to the $30 one.
I already ordered the new SIM and have gotten it but have not activated it yet. Can I use my existing SIM that I am already using since it is a TMo SIM?
Hmmmmm ... theres a Tmo store close to me. I'll swing by in a few days when my post paid account is close to the end of the cycle and see if I can get someone there to do it.
I'd rather keep my number but for the savings I'll grab a new one if theres no other choice.
The real question is: Is it possible to do it or just against policy? If its possible, I'd slip the person doing it some cash to do it.
The only way that plan is available is either at WM or order via the web. Policy is that it's available only for new activations, so be prepared simply to activate a new number--but before you do that, call customer service and ask if they'll simply move you to that plan. If you read some threads in here, you'll find that some people were successful with that.
But the store can't do it at all. Screwed up, but that's the way it is.
Do you think you can port your number to Google voice then forward it to the phone so that way you have unlimited talk from Google voice and the unlimited text, data from T-Mobile?
I use the $30 plan... or at least I did until my service went out. I'm in an excellent coverage zone and gave no service. If the tower is down, where us AT&T? I'm using my ST AT&T service in my 4s and have great coverage.
