Has the recent LH1 update from Samsung resolved this issue?
(I wish I could answer this myself but I'm still waiting for the update to get pushed to my S3)

haven't seen the problem myself since the update - but now I seem to very frequently be having a problem where it sits at "dialling" for a very long time and I have to keep hanging up and trying again. Several times before it finally works.
... and also seem to be dropping calls out of the blue sometimes.
Cell phone history:
Motorola DPC 550 -> Ericsson DF388 -> Sanyo SCP-4000 -> Samsung SCH-N150 -> Samsung SCH-T300 -> LG TM520 -> LG VX-4600 -> BlackBerry 6750 -> BlackBerry 7250 -> Samsung SGH-807 -> T-Mobile Dash -> Motorola RAZR -> BlackBerry Bold 9000 -> BlackBerry Torch 9800 -> Samsung Galaxy S Captivate -> Samsung Nexus S -> Samsung Galaxy S III LTE
seems like error is gone with update, but now hangs on "dialing" screen. WTF is wrong with these guys?
Got a text yesterday from a local number saying:
"PT00059159 - Issue with Samsung Galaxy S3 intermittent error "Not allowed by SIM" is fixed with the new software update. Customers must perform software update on their device (Build number 1MM76D.I747MVLALH1) via OTA or Kies."
I don't recognize the number but it's probably Rogers. Hope it help!
SIM Card Not Allowed... wth? HELP please..
