Need Help Reading Innuendo with QPST

I purchased a Boost Mobile Sanyo Innuendo, which the seller swears can be used to flash a phone to Boost Mobile, but I am regretting that decision. I found some drivers. I think they are here, and they install successfully on win XP and show the phone's port. I connect the phone to the PC and in Device Manager I can see:
    1. Under Modems: Sanyo USB Driver by aalatim/14
    2. Under Ports: Susteen USB Cable Port(COM6)

I see no other Sanyo or Susteen port or modem entries and no devices with issues.
When I load QPST, it sees the com port but does not find a phone on it.

I need suggestions on what to try next. I need to know how to read the phone in order to proceed with any flash procedure. Has anyone successfully done this? Do I need a different driver? Do I need to enter a diag code on the phone's keypad?

The seller will not help, telling me the solution is out the on Yahoo or Google,m however I have not yet found the appropriate information. I know I can always junk the phone and start over with an Incognito, but want to make a plea for help first.

1st guess is you need to put the phone in "diag" or diagnostic mode.
i imagine google is your next stop

Putting the phone you want on the service you pay for is not a crime. No one has ever been convicted of it!
No one has ever been convicted of talking about it either!

I've read incognitos and Prevails. From the news floating on the net you can also read Replenish without problems. Haven't tried the Replenish myself though.

The one that's easiest to read is the Incognito. The Prevail is doable but a bit more difficult.

I have an Innuendo. I have never been able to read it with the myriad of different methods that I'm aware of. CDMA WS, access denied. Qxdm, phone doesn't respond. Qpst, no reabable efs partition. DFS, no response from phone.

My first thought is that the seller sold you a dud and knew what he was doing. Or he never tried it himself and thought its possible when it isn't.

I haven't heard anything promising about the Innuendo, either.

Off the top of my head, these work:

    Sanyo Mirro (1xRTT speeds)
    Sanyo Juno (1xRTT speeds)
    Sanyo Incognito
    Samsung Rant
    Samsung Prevail
    Samsung Replenish
    LG Rumor Reflex
LG 102 (1xRTT speeds, also I have a vid on YouTube about reading this $15 phone)
    HTC Evo Design (Yes, seriously)

Haven't tried, but there's no reason they shouldn't work:

    LG Marquee
    Samsung Transform Ultra

The Transform is very similar to the Prevail. Trying to read it through CDMA WS or QXDM is not working. On the prevail you can use a file manager on a rooted device to read /dev/block but that procedure isn't working on the Transform. If you're aware of another method to read the Prevail or want to try another method entirely to read the Transform then let me know. I own one at the moment. Good thing I didn't sell it when I was thinking of it.

I owned a Marquee a while back but sold it on ebay not too long ago. Trying to read it with CDMA WS didn't cross my mind at all before I sold it. If I come across another I'll definitely try to read it before I do anything else with it.

On a side note. I have a Nexus 4g from Sprint. I put the information off an incognito on it and couldn't get it to program. Put in the MDN/MSID by hand and I can get voice working. No luck on data though. Any ideas?

The Nexus activates like a Verizon phone, by calling a special number, not like other Sprint/Boost phones.

Put in diag mode, open in QXDM and send Samsung default password (or use CDMA WS to send the Samsung default - usually you'll have to first access the phone with QXDM or QPST so CDMA WS can see the phone), exit QXDM and open EFS explorer, copy 1192 to your computer. Open with hex editor.

This method seems to work on most Samsungs.

Most LG phones need to be opened with LGNPST (lab level) to be readable. It's not the easiest thing to locate a copy of, but it's essential if you work with LG phones.

I haven't run into a Sprint Nexus yet. I'd imagine if it doesn't have the typical Sprint hands free activation, that M.IP 0 and 1 have to be copied over manually.

Hi I read your post on the reflex being used as a donor phone.

I only need to find out how to access the phone, at this moment I can get it to go to show up as a com port when the phone is off and I plug in the usb but it is only for a few seconds.

while the phone is on it wont even show up as a device attached.

Could you perhaps tell me how?

Dial ##port#, enter SPC Boost's site gives you as part of the manual activation instructions. You may need LGNPST to unlock the NV.

Sorry for the delay in responding... but you're right. After sending the samsung password the phone's EFS partition is wide open. Once that's open anything is possible. One thing though, it is still not readable with CDMA WS memory reader. Still shows access denied... not that it matters.

Thanks for that. I learned something about reading Samsung data. Works on E4GT.
