I am trying to do a hard reset on huawei activa 4g, but none of my way work, can anyone help?

u mean they make phones with actual reset buttons? if so i dont think any android phones come with those.

I know you are a very smart person from reading your posts here but thats just flatout a smartass remark, im sure we ALL know most android phones have a button combination that will get you into recovery mode where you can do a data wipe and fully reset the phone usually used when people forget their passwords and thats what i meant by a button reset which the activa did not come with that optionOriginally Posted by n4zty

It clearly says HARD RESET which can be done by going into recovery. Maybe you need to re read it and then see who looks stupid.

1) To get past the pattern-lock screen, touch on "Emergency dial"
2) Once you have the dialpad open, type *#*#2846578#*#*
3) Select "Factory Reset"
4) The phone will wipe the user data and reset

Has anyone had any luck with this actually working? I tried this on a friends and it did not unlock the phone. Must this be done from the Pattern - Unlock screen? Or can it be done from the Gmail Unlock screen? Five attempts on the Gmail Unlock screen did nothing.
