Is my $15 unlimited data stick transferable?

Called wind, they told me its possible, but don't trust them since they are not in Canada. Is it true?

They told me as long as receiving person gets credit approval, then all good to go.

Yes it is transferable. I have done this on an AITF plan. However, as always you will have to speak to the right CS rep to make this happen. If you're patient it can be done.

Also, you do not have to get to the back office, regular CS are now able to do this.
But, .... a word of caution as some reps are clueless, and if they do something wrong you may lose everything. This has not changed.

Just because it can technically be done, doesn't mean that its supposed to be transferable. If you can get it done great, but its safer to leave it as is.

Exactly, the terms and conditions on those $15 AITF plans were very clear.

If it's on Pay Before (as most of them are) then it's as easy as giving the new owner your PIN number. They can log into the Wind website and change the PIN. Bam! It's no longer yours.
"That 24-month period gave the incumbents all the time in the world to create the Chatrs of the world, create the Koodos of the world", Mr. Lacavera said, referring to the discount brands launched by Rogers and Telus in response to the threat from the new entrants.

Greg111r, do I have to go to the store, and get his credit approval, or i can do it over the phone?

thanks guys for helping. As least they given me the reference number, and confirmed it is doable.

Good thing you got that, keep us posted, I'm entirely skeptical of all of this and expect the plan to drop completely leaving the transfer of it requiring more back-office support and such.

Credit checks can only be done in store now. So he will have to go in and do the credit check.
