Rogers users following frequencies for their 3G (WCDMA). Fido is on rogers network so it should use the same bands.

    WCDMA 1900 -Transmit: 1850 –1910 Mhz / Receive 1930 –1990 Mhz

    WCDMA 850 -Transmit: 824–849 Mhz / Receive 869 – 894 Mhz

Fido definitely and absolutely does support 3g on the 850 mhz band. I am using a phone with 3g 850 but no 1900 and I have HSPA reception/connection at all times.
