    Hotspot/tethering question

I currently have a corporate blackberry (voice and 1GB data) that I use as my primary device for everything. I really want a Galaxy 3. If I buy an unlocked Galaxy 3 (and trim my SIM down), can I use the Galaxy 3 as my primary device, and use the hotspot function to connect my Blackberry to it so that I can get my email and BBM on it?

Would there be a Rogers restriction on hotspot? Is that classified as tethering? and If I don't use Rogers locked device can they tell?

    thanks

You won't get email and BBM once you remove the sim card from the blackberry. You need an active sim card in the device for the blackberry bis or bes functions to work.
