LOL..nice.
exactly.
This is only true, if the carrier is providing a free replacement device during that time., or is covering the shipping costs to send to the manufacturer. If neither is occurring, I would definately love to BYPASS the middle-man.
Ummm...#1, what subsidy are you exactly referring to?
Last time I checked, Mobi and Wind...are THEE most expensive places to buy a T999 outright. How exactly praytell, is it profitable for anybody to hoard the S3 from either carrier??? Tmo phones can be had for $400-$450 in the US. In Canada Toronto dealers import them and sell for $590. Last time I checked 599+tax or 540+tax isn't exactly going to put you at ANY advantage in selling for profit when a person can just walk into a store and buy it themselves.
because in Canada we are SO VICIOUSLY abused, I believe this is a great interim solution. However, I firmly believe that a full cost phone purchase should have ZERO sim locks applied. In fact, on the receipt of a full cost purchase, you should have the sim unlock code printed. It is absurd that I paid $688 for a BLOODY LOCKED PHONE. The NERVE of this company.
definately agree, for outright purchases. For subsidy purchases, I can agree they should be allowed to administer their devices until such a time that the subsidy is paid out, and the phone becomes the full property of the Cx.
