I was doing just that without a problem until the sim card fell out and I needed to get the adapter out. Ended up breaking the sim contacts. Was gonna cost as much to fix as to buy new.
It is tricky as the card needs to be bent, so be careful...

Is anyone using the Galaxy Nexus w microsim/adapter? I bought the Nexus directly from Googleplay.
I can't get Fido working or recognizing the micro sim/adaptor. I have tried a few times and the introductory screen keeps telling me that it cant recognize or find sim.
Any ideas what I can do to get my Fido network working with this phone?
I am using the black ubest adaptor. the micro sim somewhat snaps into place. Then I put that into the phone.
Thanks kindly.
I want to be able to switch back n forth from iphone to nexus thus the adaptor.
Fido. iPhone4

YikesI thought it would be straight forward. Apparently not. I just wish my provider could give me two cards with same account info. Would make more sense. But I guess they can't?
Do APN settings have anything to do with my Micro sim being recgonized?
No. APN is for data only. Without it you should be able to get a signal for calls at least.
Ok thanks. Maybe something wrong with my new nexus then.
You could always get a regular SIM card, and then update the SIM in your Fido.ca account when you need to change the active one. I think that still works.
I had a micro sim with an adapter when I was using the Galaxy Nexus. It was working fine.
Maybe try a different sim.
