    Considering T-Mobile... Should I switch?

I am currently with Page Plus Cellular using an iPhone 4. I chose them after leaving Sprint because my experience with Sprint was absolutely horrendous. Dropped calls, failed texts, unusable 3G, I could go on and on. So now I actually have the Verizon network using Page Plus & am very pleased. But I can only use 3G phones as Page Plus doesn't support 4G, and I also have to buy the phone at full retail price. With all the phones being 4G now (even the upcoming iPhone 5), I'm looking for a new carrier because I don't want to downgrade to like the Droid 3 as my next phone.

Is T-Mobile any good? Customer service wise and their signal? I'm really interested in them because I know they're getting the Samsung Galaxy Note and I'm really interested in that phone! I live in southern maryland. I don't want Verizon Wireless because I think they are absolutely way too pricey. I don't like their new smartphone plans either.

    Thanks

Customer service is okay if you get an American agent on the phone.
They understand a lot better and seem to be able to get things done.

    "signal" is very regional.
You should look at their coverage map to get an idea first.

In my area I have no real issues.
I had tons of issues with Verizon and left.... did not look back either.
That does not mean that you will have a good experience with T-Mobile.

Remember that you have to do what is best for you.

I've been with T-Mobile for 11 years now, and they've been great. I used them in western Maryland (Frederick and Middletown) and they did well - I am unsure about southern Maryland. I can tell you in Washington, DC they do well too. In Frederick they were great, and they were good in Middletown as well. I took a forty mile bikeride and while I didn't constantly check service - I did have it occasionally when I would stop... although I didn't expect too much since we were out in the middle of no where in the hills.
T-Mobile. Connecting you when you need it most... disconnecting you when you need to connect with God's beautiful creation! Service is great in cities and highways, but in rural areas they leave you with just your surroundings. I encourage you to get T-Mobile, disconnect for a while!

I am glad that God is not like cell phone coverage. He does not hide behind mountains or loose us down long windy roads. The Lord levels mountains, and He makes our paths straight!

When you say southern md how far are you talking? Are you saying california, md or like st. charles/PG area? I travel between the bottom of PG and Baltimore and I have good coverage when I visit my job home and relatives. But it is best to check the coverage map. If you are one that will be using a smart phone or wifi phone you may also take advantage of the free wifi calling if you find yourself in a sketchy signal area. They also have some signal booster program, but you would have to be in a spotty network area and only a t-mobile rep would be able to let you know if you are or not.

I've been with T-Mobile "off and on" since 2003 and have always been very pleased.

Check the T-Mobile coverage map on the web to see if service is available in your area. The map zooms to street detail and is fairly accurate... so you can check coverage at your home location, work location, etc.

T-Mobile's coverage is not as broad as Verizon... but it's far better than Sprint. In fact... most anything is better than Sprint.

You are shooting yourself in the foot if you pick a phone over service.

    1. You said you are happy with your present service.

    2. You don't know if 4g would be any benefit. You don't say. I don't have LTE in my area.

    3. You don't say what you are using now, how old it is, shortcomings, etc. Used phones are your best deal. There are threads on the Page Plus forums for Bionic, etc.

    4. I have a Bionic which does work well even on 3g. A dual core processor is a big help which the droid 3 and several others have.
