How to get rid of robots' calls ???

Couple of years ago I registered on popular web-site of Health Insurance. After that I started to receive robots' calls from different health care companies. I used to receive them once a week may be, but now I can have 2-3 calls a day. Pretty much from same number. Is there any way to claim on this calls or to get rid of them ???
    Thank U

Sure you can. You didn't say what phone you have but download Call Control. It's available from the Android market or from the BlackBerry store, there's an Iphone app as well.

Get the paid version, it's worth the money!

It will allow you to set your phone to receive calls from contacts ONLY if you wish, all others can be sent to voicemail, or you can blacklist the offending number.

There are other apps that will do the same thing and older non-smart phones have internal blocks you can use.
    It's me again...

One solution is to put the disconnected number tone (and only the tone) at the very beginning of your voicemail greeting. Once the machines calling you hears those three notes, they will likely remove your number from their database.

You're in luck, your phone has it built in!

    http://www.net10.com/Common/English/...sets/15595.pdf

    From the manual:

    Changing the Common Settings
    1
Touch Call in the Settings menu.
    2
    Scroll and touch Common Settings.

Call Reject - Slide the switch left for ON. You can touch the Reject list to choose All calls, Contacts, Groups, All unknown callers and All unknown numbers.

That's the only option for your phone AFAIK. Unknown calls from unknown numbers can be sent to voicemail, I think, so they're not lost....

The disconnected tone before voicemail is a great idea. I'll have to play around with this--most robots will automatically remove these. I'm not sure how exact you need to be on volume/clarity though.

Well, I did what XS11 advised. I made a group and set up reject on it. During next week I added around 10 numbers into this group. So since that I don't have any troubles. Sometimes I see my phone rejects a call from familiar contact. So they still bother my phone, but can't bother me any more..
