    Case Reducing Signal Strength

So, the case I ordered for my HTC One V (Pretty good phone) arrived today. It's a third party rubber thing. Anyhow, when I put it on, I lose strength from both the cell tower and my home wifi network. I take it off again, the strength is back. Anyone else had that experience?

Obviously, I can't use this case, and may wind up just taking my chances without a case at this point. I can't even really return it, because I bought it for about $4 from an amazon.com third party seller, and the cost of shipping it back, plus the value of my time in going to a package delivery place, packing it up, and sending it out, is more than I paid for it. I had to basically write asking the guy for a refund without returning it- not trying to be a jerk, but I was sold something that cripples my phone, and I can't return it without incurring greater costs than I bought it for. I expect he'll refuse and I"ll leave negative feedback and that will be that. I am then going to bounce this rubber thing off the lip of my trash can and into the trash.

Anyhow, just a warning about some of these cases. I don't know if this is specific to this case, a general phone thing, or that the HTC One V's antenna is in the bottom of the phone and can't be covered up by rubber, but buyer beware. Not about the phone, the phone is great. Just may not want to buy a case- or only buy a case at a retail place where you can return it and/or test it in store.

Never heard of that..weird. I think that's a bit harsh, just ask for a partial refund. A full refund is a bit too much considering that he is also losing money and did not intend to screw you over

Seller shouldn't be held responsible for a faulty phone design. You got your case and from the sound of it the case was in good condition. Very unfair to leave poor feedback for a seller who delivered on their end of the deal just because you are butt hurt that your phone craps out with a case on it.

Do the right thing and except that you got exactly what you paid for and cut your losses on the case.
