Telus My Account *app launched*

WorldIRC alerted me to a story over at Mobilesyrup that finally has some light at the end of the tunnel for the "My Telus" app.



A bit late to the game it will be similar to the My Rogers app. This app will give you the ability to monitor your usage pay bills and the like. It will also bring some new functionality that the My Rogers app lacks and that's the ability, like on the website, to see your top 5 callers and top 5 people you've SMS'd in an effort to help you decide if you want to perhaps change to a My5 package etc.

Apparently it's being tested and is in the beta stages so It shouldn't be long.

One nice feature that I can foresee is that this app will work, even during the 2 - 6am Rogers maintenance window so you can always check and not have "down time" like I did when I was on Rogers.

I'm quite excited for this app myself and will be downloading it on day 1.

Thanks for the heads up Treatz! I too will be getting this as soon as I can. Hopefully it works on corporate accounts (unlike the mobile site).

Why would they stick with 5 fave #s instead of 10 now that all the promo plans include 10 #s.

I check one per month my telus ... What do you need more when you have the right plan ?

When i want switch a feature lol i can t ... When i want switch to a promo plan ... I can t ...

The only great thing is the usage in real time and the offer on your account...

I would imagine it displays however many favorites as your plan provides. I can't test this, my plan only has 5 favorite #s.

I don't have my 5 on my account, interestingly enough though it shows my top 5 callers with a caveat...
Because I have Telus 2 Telus my top 5 are all Rogers customers! HA!

Are you sure about the 2am to 6am, well my experience has been its doesn't even work during the day most days and for sure it doesn't work from about 10.30 pm to about 6 am Vancouver time every night. This applies to both Fido & Rogers and also includes there self serve internet sites.

Are you sure about the 2am to 6am, well my experience has been its doesn't even work during the day most days and for sure it doesn't work from about 10.30 pm to about 6 am Vancouver time every night. This applies to both Fido & Rogers and also includes there self serve internet sites.

I've never had an issue checking my account online during those times.

The 2 to 6 window was in reference to Rogers and Fido, not Telus. Other than scheduled outages, I have not seen the Telus site go down much at all.
