    That seems true enough.

But if you live in a basement -- or maybe even if you don't -- you may not want to buy, or keep, a cellphone that doesn't.

Like, can I call my wife in the grocery store to find out what aisle she's in?

One thing that I noticed about the GS3 is that I can remove homescreens. Out of the box there are 7 homescreens; if you pinch from any homescreen it zooms out to show you all 7, you can then press and hold one of the homescreens and drag it to the garbage can to remove it. This is pretty nice for me since I only use 4.

You might get reception with a better phone but you can't expect every phone to give reception in every basement, if you get it then its either an amazing antenna, your lucky, or more usually a bit of both.
Wow, what I said about reception has totally spiraled out of context. My SIII was dropping every call while driving down the freeway in Milwaukee and walking in my yard in the suburbs. I live in a tri-level and the SIII was dropping calls inside the house when I went to the lower level, technically not a basement. My comment was just that my Mesmerize did indeed work in the basement even and no dropped calls.

I took it in yesterday and Tech Support didn't even want to look at it. Just grabbed a new phone and an available rep and had them swap it out. So far, no dropped calls, although it's only been 2 or 3 total calls.

Another random bug: the percentage of battery left and the actual battery icon don't match.

Right now I have 62% left, yet the icon is almost completely full and hasn't moved since I had 95% left.

Not complaining, but I do hope some of these minor bugs are fixed in a software update.

Please report back to us after you've had the replacement a few days and let us know if the dropped calls continue and how well it works in the basement.

How do you add a homesceen after you have removed one?

So far only one dropped call. But the same stretch of highway where I was dropping a call every 30-60 seconds, no issues at all.

Haven't tried the house yet for a voice call, but I was in the basement of my tri-level last night and texting w/o issues with my daughter in Indiana.

    So far, so good.

Now I absolutely love this phone!!!!!!

Heading up to a remote area in central WI this evening. No issues with my old Mesmerize, so I expect the S3 to perform the same or better.

Pinch again and you'll see a panel with a plus sign on it to add another home screen.

Had my 16 gig GS3 for a couple of days now. I put my 16 gig sd card from my old mesmerize in this so it's basically a 32 gig but in the pebble blue. Phone has been pretty awesome so far. I will say if you live in a 4g area and leave the 4g on it will use up your battery fairly quickly. I went from full charge to about 30% in around 6-7 hours with the 4g on. When I switched to CDMA only I went 12 hours and it still had about 60% left. That was with fairly light use as I tested it while I was at work. Anyway, very happy with the phone so far.

Do have one question... does anyone no how to change the default weather service? I have mine set to display the weather on my lock screen at it is using accuweather. It seems to be "frozen" as it keeps showing the same temperature and location. I've tried resetting the phone but still the same. Just wondering if there is a place where I can adjust it's refresh time or weather service. Can't seem to find it. Appreciate any help.

If I understand right you don't have it on your homescreen but on the lock screen instead. If so put it back on your homescreen and touch it then hit the menu button to get to settings. Then set refresh interval. Then you can remove it from your homescreen.

I actually found out how to do it... Settings.. Security..Lock Screen Options..then tap the Weather option. Mine was set to "never" on the auto-refresh setting. Changed it to refresh every 3 hours. Works perfect now!

Had terrible reception on mine while my wifes was great. Took mine back....exchanged it for me....all good now. There have been a few bad reception S3's that seem isolated. Swap it and let us know if its better......

Do you guys have any kind of delay when using stuff like the Google play store or in the settings? Mine seems to have a delay. It may be normal, but I don't know how to tell.
