I just called 2 locations. Both responded cannot buy outright and available to those who pre-registered (aka those who are post-paid and want windtab).

Actually, it just thinks you have a Galaxy S III with a Wind SIM card in it. If you don't give your devices names in the Play Store, it just takes the carrier and the device and creates the name itself.

Until I changed it, mine said Wind Mobile Galaxy Nexus, even though the device was from Bell originally.

Does anyone have any information regarding the "exclusive benefit" Wind spoke of when announcing no upgrades in June? 200 off overages is not exclusive. What happened to the $$$ off rumor?

OK, why are people saying you will lose your HMP? This is not true. If you are on the HMP and have a WindTab, you can stay on the HMP, put down $300, and leave with your new GS3. I just did that. So NO YOU WILL NOT lose your HMP when you do the upgrade. All good for people with a WindTab.

Corporate in Vancouver (Yaletown) said HMP is no longer valid with their new tab offerings, and to have a new tab I'd have to switch.

I guess they are misinformed, or like to scare away HMPs.

I was told by a Wind rep when i switched over to pay after to get a Tab that i'd be able to use it when ever. That kind of ruins the point if i can't get a NEW phone but instead am stuck with an OLD phone.

I had no issues getting an S3 from a corporate store in Toronto and I have HMP (and I just checked my account online and I still have it).

What made them different is what nearly made them bankrupt.

If Wind stuck with the original business plan, there would not be a Wind in Canada right now.

Mobilicity may be able to survive on different since they require a smaller userbase to break-even (they can deal with being a niche provider).

So you're saying that treating all its customers as equals nearly made them bankrupt?? So they're willing to risk over 65% of their current customer base on one of Tony's whims?

Yeah, I guess that makes sense.

The only thing that's keeping me with WIND is the HMP and it's not going to take too much more of their nonsense for me to jump, and trust me, there are an awful lot of people with the same sentiment.

Yaletown has 2 WIND stores. One of them was a mobi dealer who was shut down by mobi and is now a wind dealer. Make sure you go to the right one!

I went to the WIND store in chinook (Calgary) and I was given the same BS of not being able to sell it to existing customers. I think I'll order mine from here once it's back in stock http://negrielectronics.com/samsung-...le-blue-1.html

They are definitely misinformed. I have the HMP and bought a galaxy nexus for $99 on a WindTab just a few days ago (corporate Ottawa store).

My advice if you have an issue:
    -call customer service
-ask about your HMP WindTab eligibility (my 2011 HMP gets me max $400 off)
-get a CaseID number for that conversation

If the corporate store says you're not able to get a windtab on the HMP, pull out your CaseID number and advise them to call "retail support".

Corporate repair service stores are able to look up caseid numbers but regular corporate stores have to call retail support.

this might be asking too much.. but can anyone email me their pre registration email that they received from wind. Unfortunately i wasn’t able to pre-register at the time and i would like to get the s3. I ended up going to a wind store just now and was told i need the email before he can give me the phone.

PM me and i'll send you my email address. Thx inadvance

If I'm not currently on a WINDTab, can I go into a store, sign up for a Tab and get the S3 that way?
