Its specs match the Optimus Slider, so likely the same phone but on Verizon's network instead of Sprint.
should be 800 mhz snapdragon processor like the enlighten. One sight says 150mb internal memory. That doesn't seem like much.
Anybody know when this will be on the ST website or on the walmart site?
I used to have a Slider on Virgin Mobile, but it ran plain gingerbread. This phone seems to have some sort of LG skin on it if the pictures prove true. Looks nice from what I can see. And the home and menu keys are swapped also, I prefer the configuration this phone has in regards to that.
If you're on the byod sim, could you buy this phone and transfer your service to it?

saw one of these for sale on ebay for $250 a little while ago. blackmarkets can be created very quickly.
I called my Walmart to see if they had any in stock and the worker pretty much acted like he didn't know what i was talking about. So i went back to the ST website and typed in my area code and the Zip still isn't showing up. So i typed in a Memphis, TN zip code (37501) and the phone shows up! My question is will the phone work in my area (Mississippi) if i use the Memphis zip code to buy it off the website?
do they sell cdma-v phones for your zip code? then why would it not work? in that case it would be purely a marketing strategy for it not to show up in you list of phones to buy.
my list is full of cdma-v phones and includes the proclaim but its not in my list either. but that is curious why they do that stuff.

Can anyone who has bought this phone review it how it is on ST and comparison to Proclaim? Thks
Actually you could transfer your service to the Optimus Zip or any CDMA phone that Straight Talk offers but it won't be as simple as just putting your SIM card in the new phone since the Optimus Zip does not use SIM cards.
What you would have to do is after you buy the new phone log in to your account on ST's website then hover your mouse over "Support" then click "Phone Upgrade." What ST will basically do is port your number to their VZW service for your new phone. I did this for my nephew recently when he went from the T401G which was on the T-Mobile network to the Samsung Precedent which is on Sprint's network.
I suppose you could also call ST to activate your new phone.
Ordered the phone this morning off the ST site and it will be shipped on Monday. I used next day delivery so i should get it on Tuesday![]()
Do we even know for sure that this phone is on Verizon?? Or is it on Sprint?
When I type in my own area code (60115) it comes up with all the AT&T and Sprint phones, but when I type in an area code that only has Verizon coverage (59802) it does NOT come up. Also it does not show the red coverage map with Verizon coverage on the listing like the Proclaim does.
maybe you need to go to the top of this thread and look at the big pictures.
notice big red coverage map on front of product package (box).
