Does H20 give full data speed on $60/2 gig plan or is there a catch?

H20's $60 plan bounces all over the place on data allotment. It has gone from unlimited to 2 gb to 1gb and now back to 2gb with first 500 mb at "4g" speeds. Not it simply says 2gb. Is it 2gb at full speed with no strings or is it throttled to less then full speed after the first 500 mb still? Or even the first 100 mb? (one rumor).

If anyone is on this plan and can confirm, please post speeds, caps , throttles, etc.

I don't trust H20's data plans as far as I can throw them. Talk and text, okay. Data? Hell no.

    That just sucks worse.
    From https://www.h2owirelessnow.com/pageC...ans&category=W
H2O’s network not available everywhere and speed variable affected by network conditions and traffic. Speeds can be slowed to 3G/2G speeds and subject to H2O’s Authorized Use Policy.
So basically they can now throttle you at any time they like. Might as well get Red Pocket at $55 for 1GB data or ST with the suggested 100MB a day, 2GB a month cap. (Although it now looks like ST throttles instead of booting people)

If you're going to go with H20 , go with something that doesn't have "unlimited" or data to avoid their constantly shifting allotments. I'd go with their $25 1000 minute plan or annual $100 paygo card to avoid dealing with their lousy CS. For other types of plans, cherry pick the other Att mvnos or even Gophone to pick whatever is best at that time . Your Att or gsm unlocked phone will work equally the same on all of them anyway provided your provisioning is done correctly (apn/mms settings, etc, usually talk/text is not an issue.)

I've been with h20 6 days and used tetherme with my JB iPhone to change the apn's. Problem is, the connection is crap, everything times out so I have to either put the phone in airplane mode a few seconds or reboot to get decent data speeds, then it all starts again! Out of desperation I downloaded the config profile and its seems to help, but its the same apn's so what's the real problem with h20 and data speeds?

H2O is a joke. Stay far far away. 2GB is a joke. I have an iPhone 4S and an iPhone 4. The data doesn't work 80% of the time. And the time it does work, the data drops every few seconds. So for 10 seconds you get no data at all, and then for like 2 seconds, you get fast data. Repeatedly. YouTube doesn't work, Speed Test says 0.00 MBps Download Speed 9/10 of the time.

There's data issues with all AT&T MVNOs at the moment. Its been going on for a week and still isn't fixed.

Apparently, there may be a workaround for all this posted on the Straight Talk forums. Has to do with DNS.

Nope I assure you that isn't the cause or the fix. I tested it anyways and it does t fix it.

It's so damn obvious that AT&T is doing this to their MVNO's on purpose. They want people to sign contracts and be their slaves for 2 years.
