i don't think it will be a big improvement...
you actually get the same reception
even you get 0 to 1 bar on galaxy nexus, you might not be able to use the data or make calls

Right now I'm using a Nexus S on Wind, but at work I'm near the border of the Wind Home Zone and the connection is spotty. Would the Galaxy Nexus be any better? Has anyone tried both where they are and found better results with the Galaxy Nexus?
Thanks,

I'd say that, in general, companies only improve their products. So a late 2011 Samsung should be better than a late 2010 Samsung.
I know my Galaxy Nexus is a lot better than my Nexus One was.

How much of a better connection ? I have a Nexus One, been thinking about getting a GN
the problem is i don't think that little dBm will make much better if OP nexus S is having problem getting signal already...
Wouldn't more ASU give Op a better signal ?
I can't speak for the GN, but I upgraded from my Nexus One to my One S. It shifted from unusable at home, to near-flawless reception. 10/10 would switch again.
YMMV but my experience is that the newer phone atennas (or a different firmware on them?) is leagues ahead of what the Nexus One had.
I went from one to the other. I found the reception to be exactly the same between the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus.
I even posted a pic back in this old thread:

Reception has improved since upgrading to Jelly Bean on Gnex.
I work in a basement computer lab of a Federal Government Building in Ottawa. Prior to upgrading to Jelly Bean on my Gnex, would seldom get signal in my lab. Randomly going from No Signal to Signal with 0 bars (but more often on No Signal).
Since upgrading to Jelly Bean, I now consistently get signal (ranging from 0 bars to 1 bar) which is now enough to make/receive telephone calls all the time. So I'm not sure if this is due to the upgrade or WIND has improved coverage in this area!
