Hofo is the official forum for Wind and Mobilicity. Anything else is needless duplication. If the service reps for the two companies are not following what is going on here, they have their heads buried where the sun doesn't shine.

I'm not surprised they closed it. They must have been losing many customers from the likes of Warren, Timbit, Deke, Nuclear Broccoli (all the star collectors) telling people with technical issues to leave Wind and stop complaining on every single post. I can't wait for their advice on this forum. They going to tell everyone to leave Howard forums when they have issues with Wind?
My main gripe with Wind is that they purported to be different than Robellus but act just like them in every other way. Abruptly closing their own forum is a Robellus move if I ever seen one. Hopefully the Wind fanboy's can cool their jets on this forum and start being a bit constructive.
I laughed each time I saw the fanboys tell off a customer or post rude pictures on that site because they unknowingly are stabbing themselves in the foot. If all the clients that are complaining and people researching wind online notice this, there is no way people are going to sign up.
When wind dies which I hope it will at some point due to being a really crap company and no different from the rest of them, the fanboys can thank themselvesEven Wind was smart enough to get rid of them.
1). Maybe you should actually read everyone's posts instead of just lumping together everybody you disagree with. I never, at any time told anyone that they should leave Wind for any technical issue. I have on occasion suggested to people that if Wind didn't have coverage where they needed it, that they should try a different provider. That's just common sense, and not even remotely the same thing. Then there was the time someone wanted free incoming calls for life without ever topping up, and kept going on about how he could get that overseas, and how much Canada sucked and how backwards we are. I may have told that particular poster that if he felt that way, that he should leave both Wind, and Canada. Again, not the same thing. Get your facts straight.
2). People who complain about issues caused by their own ignorance or laziness, who refuse to take any responsibility for their problems SHOULD be told to stop complaining. I have no sympathy for them, sorry.
3). Star collecting. You realize that the stars mean nothing, and that the poster has no control over them, right? It just means that someone agreed with you, nothing more. I was actually kind of embarrassed when someone posted a congratulations to me for passing 1000 stars, as I could care less about them.
So, you wanted to see what advice I post here? Here it is: Don't lump people together based on poor assumptions and generalizations, and check your facts before you call someone out.

While I can't say I very much liked the tones of those people you listed, I whole heartedly agree with this sentiment, and give you a metaphoric star. However, Nuclear Broccoli, is right, he's hard on ignorance (which we talked about here before) but he wasn't ignorantly hard to deal with. I can't group him in with the likes of warren. It's just not fair.
I agree with this too. When the threads come up, because I think more will later this year about rumours of WIND closing down and selling out, we can discuss more how when WIND was different and why they became the way they are.. well the why is simple: Money and Customers. My main gripe with Wind is that they purported to be different than Robellus but act just like them in every other way. Abruptly closing their own forum is a Robellus move if I ever seen one. Hopefully the Wind fanboy's can cool their jets on this forum and start being a bit constructive.
Wind could have been a lot better if they continued to have a customer first attitude and not tried to scrimp and save on customer service (penny wise but pound foolish)
The icing on the cake is them not doing anything regarding legitimate complaints and not caring if you leave or not. They are too small to take a screw you attitude at this stage in the game. Who do they think they are, Rogers?
It's funny tendenzi, years ago I was arguing with you about wind as I was a fanboy in the beginning that they were going to bring change. After dealing with their horrible customer service, I cancelled my holiday miracle plan, $20 fnf, and 2 discount datasticks. I am glad I never cancelled my Telus line.
You called it arguing, I call it conversing, it's all good.
I'm always shopping around for a plan that will suffice my needs for under $100, there isn't yet but it's getting close. I'd love to leave WIND, not for the horrible CS, or the lack of policy consistency, or the fact that the fanboys are more venomous to the reputation of WIND than any negative marketing from an incumbent can do. No, I'd love to just have consistent data speeds and maybe some reception when I walk in a building from time to time.![]()
