I was looking for a way to unlock my iphone 3gs and found some website that sells this software that could unlock it for 25$. It would for iOS 5.1.1 for iphone 3gs/4/4s. The software is called softra1n and the website that sells it is http://www.softunlockiphone.com/index.html
Have anyone used it and does it really work as advertised? I tried to search the forums and couldn't find anything. Thanks all.

Android Sucks, ios is better
yes, jailbreak and unlock are free, dev-team never charged any thing for them. All you need is searching for it.
That's what I thought. Thank you guys for confirming. I think once my term is up, I will pay the 50$ for rogers to unlock my iphone.
i can tell you that is a scam.
need 3rd 4th and 5th digit of your serial. apple started putting new chips in the newer 3gs iphone. if you flash ipad baseband you will brick the 3gs.
any units made after week 34 of 2011
anything before that is good to flash ipad baseband and then downgrade it with redsn0w.
most can be done with ultrasn0w but the ones that cant have to be factory unlocked.
i can factory unlock all att iphones.....still working on some good prices for sprint and verizon 4s.

Not all services you pay for to unlock your phone is fake. I mean I own a store I unlock iPhones every single week I do at least 5-6 and people pay to unlock it. I factory unlock all GSM phones, even iPhones from Canada, Spain, UK, etc other countries I have no problems doing it to. So basically yes you have to be careful where you shop online, but not all unlocks you pay for is a scam.
