You should contact Boost Mobile directly to get an answer.
If I'm annoyed and you're annoyed, does that make us a paranoid ??

I don't think you will be able to use it on Boost Mobile. Hopefully someone who either works for Boost Mobile or has more knowledge will comment.

I have yet to hear of someone accomplishing this outside of one group that charged a lot to do it. The iphones are locked down a lot. The only way to do it would be through some methods that involve a lot more work than most laypeople will bother with.

In a nutshell, the only way the iPhone is getting on Boost is if Sprint starts selling ones specifically for Boost, or by modifying your iPhone's MEID (with all the controversy that comes along with it). Presently, there's no publicly known method of doing so.

There is a thread on Gurus about a new solution for the CDMA iPhone, but it will cost money, instructions for MEID repair won't be included (it remains to be seen if the process will be self explanatory) and so far there's no official release date.

A cell phone repair shop (don't want to mention their name and give them free advertising) in my neck of the woods sells iPhones that are MEID altered onto Boost every once in awhile, but they claim the process doesn't work on all CDMA iPhones (with no explanation as to why) and they're tight lipped about everything related to the process. So, it is possible if you have some money to burn and don't mind dealing with some shady types.

Quite frankly though, with Sprint's abysmal EVDO speeds, getting an iPhone onto Boost is a very hollow victory. I humbly recommend you take a real hard look at the various AT&T MVNOs and give some serious consideration to just selling/trading for a GSM iPhone.

There is no controversy. Except for those who insist there is one

I have great speeds, and they just keep getting better, like most boost customers will tell you.

The real great thing is unlimited data...
Putting the phone you want on the service you pay for is not a crime. No one has ever been convicted of it!
No one has ever been convicted of talking about it either!

Most forums don't even allow discussion about MEID repair. Until that changes, it's a controversial subject.

If you want an iPhone, on prepaid, on Sprint's network, with Unlimited* data, Virgin Mobile will be happy to sell you one. Or several. It's just not a very cost effective solution.

    * First 2.5 GB at blazing Sprint speeds and the rest at... well, honestly you won't really notice the difference.

That report feature comes in handy.

That being said, as long as no tutorials are posted we have no issue with discussing the topic.

In my experience, and to the best of my knowledge, meid modification on the iPhone is not by any means a common or easy task to accomplish. I admit it isn't something I look for much, but I've rarely ever heard of it being done. As has been stated already, your best bet is to get an iPhone with VM.

I meant that the thread had not been moved to the appropriate forum. It has now been done so. In general subjects dealing with only one carrier or MVNO should be posted in that carrier's or MVNO's forum and not the forum of the manufacturer or Operating Syetem.

Try calling up Boost's customer care and bugging several representatives. Maybe one of them will be stupid and let you slip by. Also try pulling a "But my friend got it to work on Boost!".

    Doesn't hurt to try!

    Question iPhone Flashed to BOOST?

This site says they will flash the iPhone to Boost and MetroPCS and even Verizon's PrePaid service,

Do you think it's a scam or legit?
