They deduct 10 cents per minute from your account, so you need to put more than 30 in there if you want extra minutes.

I'm looking at the $30 5GB 100 minute plan for new customers but have a question I cant seem to find an answer to. I use up to 200 voice minutes a month. I'm aware of VOIP solutions and have Groove IP on my current Android phone but will still exceed 100 minutes most months.
With T-Mobile if you reach the 100 minute limit does voice still work but with a overage charge per minute? How much is the overage? Can you pay to start a new month if you should so choose?
i'm on Virgin Mobile now and I can just pay a 10 cent overage charge for anything over 300 minutes (never have) or just pay to start a new month immediately.

It is a good plan. I'm gonna have to put some minutes on my plan since I have 4 left but it works out well.

Yes, when you get toward 0 (I think it was a few mins left), you will get a text and a couple pre-call announcements that you are getting low, and it'll be $0.10/min afterward.
Unfortunately, if the phone is on and a call rolls in to VM, it takes my minutes on the plan, just FYI.
