Anyone know if Koodo charges to receive SMS in the USA like Telus does.
the webpage under plans has a superscript of 4 that basically says it's $.60 per message sent (site's down right now so I can't copy paste)

It'll be Canada wide.Originally Posted by OCZ
IMO this is the best plan in Canada right now. Excluding the new guys offerings as there aren't an Apple-Apple comparision.
As everyone has been saying, this plan includes long distance.
When companies say things such as 200 "local" minutes or unlimited "local" incoming minutes, they are really refering to included airtime minutes. There really is no such thing as a "local" minute or a "Canada-wide" minute.
In the case of this plan, it is just a plan that is coded so there are no Canadian long distance charges. The amount of daytime minutes, the unlimited evenings and weekends, and unlimited incoming calls are just the included airtime. Airtime is neither local nor long distance. Long distance charges, when they apply, are added on top of any airtime charges (but as I said, no Canadian long distance charges on this plan).

Nope, TELUS (and Koodo by the sounds of it) is the only one to charge for incoming texts abroad (with a domestic text package). The others only charge for outgoing. TELUS/Koodo has some of the best roaming rates out there, but this is one area where the fall behind.Originally Posted by shushwap
ok so the site is up:
Pay-Per-Use: Roaming
Incoming & Outgoing Text Messages (U.S./International)4 60˘/message
U.S. Voice Roaming $1.50/minute
International Voice Roaming See international rates.
4Applies to text messages sent within the U.S. or internationally.
this leads me to believe sent sms from the US (or INTL) cost $0.60. says nothing about received.
But it says Incoming & Outgoing Text Messages (U.S./International)4 60˘/message
What other use would the word incoming have, especially next to 60 cents?
