Last weekend I was dealt with a problem this unknown number texted me and was telling me a lot of stuff it turned out that they were a friend of my ex boyfriend. So my ex boyfriend had given them my cell number and they were his messenger and were sending me messages etc.
I went ahead and changed my cell number. Now a whole week later 1 of my friends texts me saying that someone is bothering them and it turns out to be my ex boyfriend's friend who contacted me last weekend.
Only thing is how did they get my friend's phone number when I never gave them the number and I had changed my phone number.
Is it possible that my ex boyfriend could have called Boost Mobile and given them my old cell and asked them to trance any texts or calls I had previously been doing? My friend and I are trying to figure out how they got ahold of the number.

Nope, Boost would never give him such information, unless of course he works for the law enforcement and was able to obtain a warrant from a judge and even if he tried to obtain one, he would still need a good reason.
Also, calls and texts can't be transferred when someone gets a new number that used to belong to another person. Last, but not least, Boost Mobile customer service can't even see what the text messages say, they can only see when and who sent them.
