I recently bought an HTC Wildfire S from a woman in a parking lot because the phones carrier was Metro PCS my cell phone carrier. I looked at the phone since it was powered on and it appeared to be in working order. I dialed *228 frrom the phone and the Customer Rep told me that the phone could not be activated she said it was taken from the display section of a store and that it would need to be unblocked before I could transfer my account on to it . I took it to Metro PCS and the Customer Service Reps treat me like if I stole the phone. Can anyone tell me how or where to get this phone unlocked I am out $80.00 do to this theif and my negligence please help.

You're screwed! The phone was probably reported stolen!! This is why you should've met her at a Metro store and had them look up the ESN to see if the phone was blacklisted or not. I presume the woman would've not gone into the store with you to do this... then you would know something was up.
In the future... take my advice and do what I said to save yourself the headache. Looks like you're out 80.00 bucks. Sorry!
I agree with the other posters that yes you are screwed. Once a phone has been put on the ESN block list you cannot activate it. Since the phone was reported stolen it cannot be activated. If you could find out the information about the person who sold you the phone please pass it along to the MetroPCS Customer Service and to the store so they can prosecute the individual and hopefully sue her for selling you a stolen phone. In the future before you buy such a phone be sure its from a reputable dealer and that you can check to see if the ESN is clear before you put down any money. Were there any alarms going off in your head when you dealt with this person? I would never buy a phone from someone in a parking lot(:
