I have a Fascinate that I hacked so I use it without data. Can I add prepaid data?

For all my carrier knows I have another phone as I transfered the data to the fascinate. So to start it all, I am paying for everything that I use, ie sms and voice, mms doesn't work as it used data. I initially figured that I have wifi everywhere I go so no need for data, but all smartphones were requiring data plans so on went the hacking. I now want to add data, as I have home surveillance set up that I can access from my phone, but a few places I go to, namely my gym, has no wifi and when I get alerts I want to turn on data, check the cameras, make sure my doggy is ok, and then turn it back off. So again, I'd be paying for everything that I am using, in this case prepaying. How can I do this on my Samsung Fascinate?

The only way I can think of doing this is getting a prepaid CDMA phone with data and then transfering the APN info and other stuff over so for all sake I'm still using the original one, though not. I'll check with verizon to see if they already allow me to do something like this so I can do it legit and have one account.

I just went on their site and found that the galaxy tab can have prepaid data on it. I could try using that. I'm sure my phone uses the phone info to connect with whatever proxy that handles my connection so I'll probably have to point it to a duplicate with the info from that tab. And no, I won't be having two devices using data, just my phone, as I have wifi at home and I'll use that for the tab an I'm not interested in taking it out as I mainly want it to control my AV system with the IR.
