I called tech support a few times today, and I may have misunderstood, but there is an error with my number port-in : Termination at Tower. Anyone know what that means?
Basically, I have zero data on my phone. No text messages. No 3G. I can make calls and it will show my actual phone number. However, the SIM still registers my temp number.
It's been 24 hours, and all I get told is it will be fixed. They sent emails to some upper network admin department that is cloaked to all forms of communication except by internal email. I understand why that is, having a highly paid engineer speak to a customer is usually a waste of time, but at least let them speak to their internal reps to relay info.
Kinda sucks because I use texting and data a lot for work (server alerts are fun!). I prepared for up to 12 hours of downtime on my phone, but not 24+...
Sounds like the port-request has been completed (aka, old carrier is cancelled, number is now in Bell pool) but due to a delay in switch, the number has not been overlaid onto your account yet. It is very rare a delay occurs, but alas it sucks when it happens.
