    Lycamobile coming, bye bye Chatr

Sounds like Rogers will partner up with an MVNO offering unlimited calling, just like Chatr.

Anyone remember what happened to Bell's Solo brand after Bell partnered with Virgin to create Virgin Mobile Canada? Sounds like history might be repeating itself.

This is interesting considering Petro Canada Mobility, a Rogers MMVO, discontinued their unlimited talk and text for $40/month a couple months back. I was assuming it was Rogers that wouldn't renew their agreement but maybe it was the other way around.

^ They are the only GSM provider. GSM phones are cheap and easy to get.

Didn't Virgin sell their stake to Bell, making Bell the sole owner? If it was still a 50/50 partnership Solo would still be around, better to have 100% of the profits then having to split them with a partner.

Yup, Bell bought the rights to use the Virgin Mobile name in Canada.
