Just wondering if anyone out here has jumped ship to one of the new 6gb super plans that the big 3 have recently launched? If you have let us know which carrier plan you went with. Just curious to see which plan out there most people are tempted to switch to.
I have a pentaband phone so I took it to Bell. BUT I'm leaving if they won't give me access to hardware upgrades while keeping the 10% MtM credit. If the deal is good for upgrades, I'm getting my dream phone i.e iPhone 5 this fall.
$72/month with Bundle 12 (CID+MsgCtr+VM2Txt) -$4 (Bundle 12 credit) -10% (MtM credit) -$4 (Bundle credit) = $58/month
The 10% month-to-month credit is only available if you bring your own device and $4 bundle credit is available on all activations.
Prepare for battle to get CID added for reasonable cost. Apparently some people got it waived, maybe loyalty can do that but the phone sales people won't flinch. Don't bother going to a retail store, they don't have any power at all.
hahahah i changed to virgin
well i didn't expect rogers is getting the $60 plan too
i switch to virgin when the galaxy s3 came out, and they are the only big 3 sub that offering LTE right now...so it wasn't for the 6gb plan but their phone and LTE
and after a month of switching, i see they ahve the 6gb plan so i make the move and changed it to $60 and plus 7$ callID
well, its okie, i will see if i can make them give me free call id after a year...
wow thank god I don't live on the east side of this country. You guys must have the worst connection/signal in this country(as WIND customers)![]()
I had an old telus acct that was on a $20 month plan so i called to cancel knowing i would get a retention deal, ended up with:
$60, 5 gb, 500 minutes, unlimited messaging, my10 nationwide, call display, voice mail, 5pm evenings etc.
If wind completed there 2011 network expansion plans I possibly would have stayed but i was roaming about 90% of the time.
Still holding onto WIND.![]()
A year ago I grabbed a line at Koodo to use along with my Wind line. It's been good, and including this new 6GB $60 plan it'll be the third time the price has dropped for me. I still keep my I35 as it's an excellent plan and I do want to support wind. I really don't think we would have seen all these changes from the big 3 without them.
I'm not too surprised at people jumping to these $60 plans - I guess they really see the value in them and the coverage - but most are local calling which I still think is just insane at this point in time.
WIND's $ 40.00 HMP is totally satisfactory for me . . . . .
Hey I'm not saying people are not having these bad experiences but you know what they say, the relatively small minority who have negative feedback are usually the ones posting on these boards. Hence the "grim" outlook. Personally, aside from some problems back when they initial introduced the first HMP, my service has been great. Sure, data speeds have left something to be desired but everything else has been spot on. Being on the first HMP plan, I have everything and these super 6GB plans are nowhere near competitive for me. Not for what I get and for the price they are at.
$12~ more (give or take) may be worth limited minutes, no unlimited LD and Super Fast LTE Speed (tm) to some but hey, my friend who is with Rogers constantly complains about how slow Rogers LTE is (he's exchanged his phone multiple times, as well as SIM).
That means Rogers LTE must be garbage everywhere for everyone! Run for the hills to Bell Canada!
Can i use the new 6gb Plan?
