I'm currently with Wind on the $35 AITF plan and am fed up with their data connection.

I'm looking for something more reliable around $40 with approximately 150-200 mins (+ evenings and weekends) + cid (vm is not a must but would be nice to have) + 1gb of data. Anyone know of any good plans?

    Thanks in advance!
None of the big 3 or their sub brands will give you 150 minutes and a gigabyte of data for $40. Your best bet is the Koodo super plan really.

I'm switching to Koodoo tomorrow their $60 6gb plan seems to be the best of the big companies, these last few months wind has been absolutely terrible no reception anywhere and dropped calls almost every call i made.

Koodo ... 150 mins is $30 and 1 GB is $20. Or you can go with 100 mins (+E/W) for $25 and data for $20

No one has a plan like that. Possibly on retention but it's hard to even get that on retention these days. You'll have to do $50 for a Koodo Plan or a using either Virgin or Koodo voice plan with flex data.

Neither of those equal $40, as I said

With Koodo it makes sense to go with the data saver rather than just a fixed XGB plan.

The word 'Pentaband' means '5 Bands', from the Greek word 'pente' meaning '5'. For a phone to be pentaband it has to support 5 bands. If the phone has AWS support, it doesn't automatically mean that it is pentaband. The reason Wind and Mobilicity users like pentaband phones is because the reverse is true. We're not the only ones who like pentaband phones though, so please stop referring to phones that work on Wind and Mobilicity as pentaband. It causes unnecessary cofusion.

Why? The only way you'd be better off with data saver if you use 300MB or less since the voice/text plan is essentially the $40 plan.
I think it's safe to assume most users here that switched used more than 300MB, they'd be better off with the 6GB plan.

    Thanks everyone for their input.

Looks like I'll have to end up paying the big bucks if I switch over.

Off topic but does anyone know if I could sell my AITF plan and switch it over to someone else's name?

nope ... well you can but they wont be able to change your name to their name ... you can try to call WIND and see if they will let you give the plan to your "cousin" and see if they will say yes ... some members here wrote that WIND wont change names on plans!

Yes they do. I've done so before. Bring some ID to a store.

I hope someone over at wind reads this. The low prices won't hold people, as shown people are willing to pay more as long as their service works.

Thanks very much for the info. This will definitely make it easier to switch to another company if I can get some $ for my wind plan.

They don't need to read this thread on HoFo ... they just need to read the posts by others on their FB page and they will see how bad it is ... and then come here and read all the stories and after they are done they need to check out the RFD thread !!! and if they search they will probably find more boards with csx complaining!
