Galaxy S3, "Wifi Calling" and conditional forwarding to Google Voice.
So I was a very happy user of google voice while on sprint. I've just moved to t-mobile and the wifi calling feature was one of the things that made me excited for it.
HOWEVER, it appears to be 100% incompatible with conditional call forwarding (**61*, **62*, **67*).
When one has wifi calling enabled, and one calls the phone, it uncondtionally forwards to the the specified # without ever ringing the phone.
has anyone else seens this? is this a known problem? Is there anything that can be done about it?
what conditional forwards do you have setup? 61,62,67? or just some of them?
I didn't use any of them. I wouldn't. It was just easier going to settings, calls, then manually changing the call forwarding with my google voice number. No silly codes or anything. (Set it as +1areacode#)

Unfortunately, doesn't make a difference for me. On the S3 there are 4 forwarding options under call settings (which you get to via dialer). The 3 that I set have the number I set (via ** codes) already listed. If I enable wifi calling, then the option to set them is disabled.
Ok, now the situation has changed. Now calls come in (with forwarding setup), but if a call is ignored it goes to t-mobile voice mail, not google voice.
Also, I disabled call waiting (while not on wifi calling, as can't disable while on wifi calling), and that also made no difference. (i.e. I called 611, then called my phone from another cell and it rang in through call waiting, hit ignore and it went to t-mobile voice mail).
I don't understand the problem. Can you explain further?
I use Google voice for my voicemail, and wifi calling, no problems.
Use *004*(number)# to change all conditional call forwards.
just tried that, called me (on wifi calling) cell phone from gmail (not the account I use for google voice), call came in, "ignored" it, and it went to t-mobile voice mail.
in "call settings" (i.e. dialer-> menu->call settings->call forwarding->voice)
if I "disable" all the conditional forwards, it respons with an error that it couldn't disable all of them, and resets them to a # that appears to be T-Mobile's voice mail service (i.e. when you call it, you get asked to enter a t-mobile customer # for that box).
good idea, but didn't fix it. though wondering if it takes time for the call forwarding info to be migrated to the wifi calling portion?
Now it just forwards to the t-mobile voice mail services and its as if you directly dialed it (i.e. "Enter the person's 10 digit mailbox #" or something like that).
