Stock is often sufficient on most platforms today. For those for whom it is sufficient, the option of customization is not a selling point. Customizability is a selling point only for those that would be inclined to customize, no?
And to your point of customization not being required, I guess that will always be subjective. I look at XDA and how people are always looking for a 'stable' ROM and needing this and that, and I think, it may not be necessary for all, but is necessary for some (XDA had their initial popularity from the WinMo ROM scene, back when the Windows guys made similar comments). Similarly, stock iOS isn't enough for many iOS fans and so they jailbreak.
They're looking for a stable rom because they've either bought a low end Android phone, an old one or are still under the mentality that stock is not good enough and that a custom one would be better. I can't think of any high end phones from HTC, Motorola and Samsung that has problems that are only solved by a custom rom

I'm using a custom rom on my 2x. Its perfectly stable. All it does over stock is optimise battery life. The problem with custom roms are that most try to change to many things. I had no problem with stock ics. The thought of two day battery with moderate use was too inviting. Works great with no issues.
Apple pays us, Samsung pays us, many, many companies pay us. No bias from their status as a customer. That's like saying when you go to clean up the mold from a flooded toilet that you have to agree with your customer's opinions. That makes sense to you?
I am afraid you actually don't get it. And really, you are the last person to complain about personal attacks, given your propensity for trolling the Apple forums calling everyone a lemming.
I don't call everyone lemmings . Just the apple users with the binders on like yourself. and that is not a personal attack. just more like a gentle rib rub. your posts on the other hand are much more personal
Anyhow Im tired of arguing. your way is right. everyone else is wrong. that how it is. go back to your little dream world.

No blinders, I just prefer facts to blind, ignorant emotion. I also am not a fan of people the blatantly lie, so I call them out. I am disappointed by people that would put their own needs ahead of their kids. I am put off my people that are so insecure in their choices that they feel the need to lie and troll.
I never said everyone else was wrong or that I was right. I think Android is a great platform and is a good choice for many people. I did say to ignore the haters, because they don't usually have anything worthwhile to say. Especially the ones that lie.

Or they want to get rid of the Blockbuster video app and all the other Sprint scumware that's burnt into their Sprint HTC EVO stock ROM. My friends bought the EVO less than two years ago under the promise of WiMaxx that never took off and they are still paying for it.

I'm talking about currently sold recently released phones. And Sprint is garbage.

Considering, Ya blink and a new Android phone is released. It's almost impossible to qualify your advice of currently released phone in the real world. On top of that I would need probably at least 5 different phones on all carriers just to get what I would realistically use hardware-wise.
I used to be married to Android. The relationship was great at first, but he just wasn't giving me what I wanted. Wasn't performing like he should, broken promises (FC and incompatibility), so we divorced. Apple came into my life, we are happy together. Marital bliss. We even had a kid! LOL
android got boring real fast for me. I swear ICS just came out and were talking the next thing already. Just too much too soon for me.

My opinions are mine, not yours, no one says you have to agree with them! =)

Actually, no. Google released ICS on October 19, 2011. The ICS rollout by carriers and manufacturers onto actual phones has been terribly slow. Many Android phones (like mine) still haven't received their ICS update, so most Android users are still on 2.3 Gingerbread. By contrast, iOS updates are made available to all compatible devices at the same time. Android has a serious fragmentation problem, much more so than iOS.
I don't lie either. you just decide you are superior by working for apple. indirectly of course. but lets call a spade a spade. you are somewhat bias considering Mr cook pays the bills. you said in another post that you help design the functions of siri. or was that a lie?

This is much better than the news I've read last night. Android is really great and the functionality is not far from the famed IPhone but having an IPhone nade from China is like an act of treachery for me.
You can read more about the news from here:

You can blink all you want but I'm not talking about the low-end or mid-range phones. The GS1-GS2-GS3 were all released over the past 3 years. The HTC EVO LTE came 2 years after the original Evo 4G, with the EVO 3D and EVO Design in the meantim. The GS3 is identical on all carriers no? Why can't we use one Android phone as an example? 5 GS3's on 5 different carriers are going to have the same exact software. The only flagship product line that is really messy is the DROID lineup and that's all Verizon's doing. Android manufactures are cleaning up their act when it comes to releasing many variants of the same phone.
